Market Systems Development Partnership Design Advisory Services in Myanmar

Market Systems Development partnership design advisory services to support the development of private sector partnerships for the USAID Agriculture and Food Systems Development Activity to strengthen market linkages and improved service provision, input supply, and post-harvest value addition. Engagement responsibilities included: Support to the Activity staff to negotiate and design strategic private sector partnerships that align business incentives with the Activity’s project objectives; and writing Memos of Understanding and grant agreements outlining the overall partnership as well as the specific partnership activities and budgets supported through the Market Systems Development Fund. Over 35 partnerships supported in oilseeds, beans and pulses, horticulture (fruits, nuts and vegetables), spices, beverage crops (coffee and tea); seeds, poultry feed, mechanisation and agri-tech.
