Business development- agro-processisng, horticulture and agri-tech sectors in East Africa

Asper Consulting Ltd. was commissioned to (i) review and analyze tender documentation, including but not limited to the terms of reference for the supplier contract, the business case and previous FCDO private sector development project and facilities as well as CDC and the Department for International Trade activities; (ii) conduct desk research to prepare the ground work for the workshops and develop workshop design and questionnaires with the bid team; (iii) work with consortium partners to analyze key agro-processing and horticulture sub-sectors that can offer opportunities for increase labour productivity and climate resilience and, for each of these, identify specific areas for improvement; (iv) identify main private investors and investment ecosystems and identified barriers to entry, risk and investors pain points; (v) prepare technical write up on agro-processisng, horticulture and agri-tech.
