Asper was selected to design an “OSH/COVID-19 technical and financing facility” that will facilitate the provision of technical and financial support to SMEs that will enable them to adapt workplaces to meet and sustain OSH standards in light of Covid-19. The facility targets SMEs in the garment sector.
The scope of work included defining expectations of the analysis and help guide the scope, mapping out and identifying existing similar facilities in Myanmar and identifying the value added and potential scope of the OSH/COVID-19 facility; mapping out and identify examples of relevant international initiatives that could inform the design of the Myanmar facility (for example, facilities created in Bangladesh after the Rana Plaza disaster); stakeholder consultations, and developing a Business Plan for the technical and financing facility.
